Graduate of the world-renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston, Chika became the first professional female saxophonist in Japan when she joined fusion group ''Crystal Moon'' in 1985. She turned solo three years later, releasing her first album in 1988. Now, with more than eight albums to her name, her impressive list of performances includes performing with industry greats such as David Matthews & Mark Egan. Regarded by many in the music industry as one of the world’s finest female saxophone players, Chika is the favourite of companies throughout Asia and Japan for doing private client events.
